Supply delay & New goals

I've been waiting for stock of the xbee breakout board to complete my order from proto-pic http://proto-pic.co.uk/breakout-board-for-xbee-module/ to arrive since monday the 6th, and despite being assured of dispatch by friday (yesterday) i am still waiting.

In the meantime I have continued to read 'building wireless sensor networks'. I will finish off the design of exactly how the prototype will look and how it will be built including component detail. This will allow me to quickly implement it once my xbee wireless kit arrives. I could also design a non-working paper prototype version to take to users so at least some early feedback would be obtained. This proved useful in my HCI coursework with Kate Devlin so will be applied to the project. I will try to learn as much as possible from this technique.

Goals:

Paper prototype: user testing - use this to lead other prototype
Finish design of the arduino prototype: wait for parts to implement
Read building wireless sensor networks in detail
Read making things talk, 30 arduino projects for the evil genuis
Read Designing Interactions: find more case studies
